Session 1:  Communicating with Decision Makers - Building Advocacy

Telling the story of Cooperative Extension is a job for all of us. This session will focus on communication "tricks of the trade" advisory leaders and Extension educators can use back home. In this session, participants will learn"

  • county public policy
  • proper methods to communicate with policy makers, steps to build positive relationships with policy makers,
  • role of advisory leaders in annual budget processes, and fundamentals of marketing Cooperative Extension's impact on policy makers and stakeholders.
