Create a quadrant
chart for your program! Below are instructions and a template in PowerPoint.

Changing Event Title
Click on the text (the box around the text should be highlighted). Then
replace “Event Title” with the title of your event.
Changing N=
Click on the text (the box around the text should be highlighted). Then
add the number of participant respondent after the equal sign. For example,
if your data is based on responses from 30 participants then the text
should read “N=30.”
Changing Data
in the Table (means and correlations)
Double click on the table (you’ll see the spreadsheet’s column
and row headers). Enter mean and correlation for each attribute (items
A – M).
Note that changing
these values does not change the position of each coordinate on the graph
– changing the datasheet does that.
The last row is automatically
calculated and contains the mean for each column. These are important
– they tell you were to place your midpoint lines.
Changing Data in DataSheet
Double click on any blank gray area within the graph. A datasheet (i.e.,
spreadsheet) should appear. If not, on the top menu click on View, then
Datasheet. Then, starting in Column A, enter the mean value for each item
A – M. Then, starting in Column A, do the same for correlations.
As you do this, you’ll see the coordinates move.
Changing the Scales
While still in this view, click on the each axis to adjust the scale.
Click on an axis will display a dialogue box. Click on the Scale tab.
Adjust you minimum and maximum values to include the entire range of values.
For example, on the X (performance) axis, if your values range from 3.95
to 4.82, then you might make you minimum value 3.8 and your maximum as
4.9. Also be sure to change the “Crosses at” to be what you
entered as the minimum (3.8 using the same sample). Then do the same for
the Y (importance) axis.
Then click outside
the box (i.e., somewhere near the title) to exit the edit mode.
Changing Midpoint Lines
Once your scales have been set, you can move the horizontal and vertical
midpoint lines to their appropriate position (use the values in the last
row of the table you worked with earlier). Click on each line and drag
them to the appropriate value.
Then, save your changes!
Your quadrant chart is now complete. Use the interpretation chart to gain
insight into what did (or did not) drive satisfaction for your event.
